Jonas' child Luca is a sweetheart yet I saw him as even more a prop. He is drawn thoughtfully and without ableism or pity yet he most likely serves as a support for Jonas' issues and may be, loathe it say it, IMO a plot moppet. I do like that there are a few connections that still aren't – and most likely never will – run easily before the end of the story. Luca's mom is never going to change while Jonas' mom just grudgingly begins to acknowledge Olivia in her child's life. This felt more genuine than sudden rainbows and cheerful bunnies landing out of nowhere.

Since Olivia and Jonas had a long history and had once been enamored, I felt the stewing fascination from the beginning. Blame and displeasure from a past occasion had room schedule-wise to advance into acknowledgement and comprehension with one last thing letting all mistaken assumptions go. When they conceded their adoration, it felt right. The epilog is sufficiently just to propel the arrangement on to the following book without obstructing things.
